Part 1 - Half Square Triangles Sewing Instructions: Step 1: Using a ruler and a pencil, draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of all Fabric C 4-7/8" squares and eight Fabric B 6-7/8" squares.
Step 2: With right sides together, layer a Fabric C 4-7/8" square on a Fabric D 4-7/8" square and sew a 1/4" seam on EACH side of the diagonal line that you drew in Step 1. Cut apart on the diagonal lines. Press seams toward Fabric D and trim points. Repeat five more times for a total of twelve C/D half-square triangles.
Step 3: With right sides together, layer a Fabric C 4-7/8" square on a Fabric B 4-7/8" square and sew a 1/4" seam on EACH side of the diagonal line that you drew in Step 1. Cut apart on the diagonal lines. Press seams toward Fabric B and trim points. Repeat three more times for a total of eight B/C half-square triangles.
Step 4: With right sides together, layer a Fabric B 6-7/8" square on a Fabric A 6-7/8" square and sew a 1/4" seam on EACH side of the diagonal line that you drew in Step 1. Cut apart on the diagonal lines. Press seams toward Fabric B and trim points. Repeat seven more times for a total of sixteen A/B half-square triangles.
