Part 4 - A Star is Born printer friendly version | PDF Sewing Instructions: Step 1: Assemble four quarter square triangles, four B/C half-square triangles and one Color A 4-1/2" square and arrange according to the diagram below. Sew into horizontal rows as shown.
Step 2: Sew rows together to form the block. One star block made.
Step 3: Assemble four quarter square triangles, three D/C half-square triangles, one B/C half-square triangle, and one Color A 4-1/2" square and arrange according to the diagram below. Sew into horizontal rows as shown. Repeat three more times, for a total of four copies of each of the three rows.
Step 4: Sew rows together to form the block. Repeat three more times for a total of four star A/B/C/D star blocks. Each block should measure 12-1/2" at this point. They will measure 12" when we sew them into the quilt.
You should now have the following star blocks made:
