Crockett Cabin
12" Quilt Block Pattern

Cutting Instructions:
From Dark Fabric, cut four 3-1/2" squares and two 3-7/8" squares.
From Light Fabric, cut eight 3-1/2" squares and two 3-7/8" squares.
Sewing Instructions:
Step 1: Using your favorite marking tool, draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the light 3-7/8" squares.
Step 2: Layer a light 3-7/8" square on a dark 3-7/8" square, right sides together. Sew a 1/4" seam on each side of the diagonal line that you drew in Step 1. Repeat this for the second set of 3-7/8" squares. Cut apart on the diagonal lines. Press seams toward the darker fabric and trim points. Four light/dark half-square triangles made.
Step 3: Arrange the half-square triangles and squares as shown in Diagram 1. With right sides together and using a scant 1/4" seam, sew together to form rows as shown in Diagram 2. Sew rows as shown in Diagram 2 to finish the block.
