Part 2 - Diagonals printer friendly version | PDF Sewing Instructions: Step 1: With right sides together, place a Color D (very light) 3-1/2" square in the upper right corner of a Color C (medium) 6-1/2" square. Sew along the line that was drawn in Part 1 and trim the excess fabric 1/4" above the seam. Press the seam allowance toward the lighter fabric. Repeat in the lower left corner to complete the diagonal unit. Make 24 diagonal units. Each should measure 6-1/2" unfinished.
