FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q.  "What's the story behind the third block on the third row?"

A.  "Behind every rose is a gardener.  My father is a magnificent gardener and he grows the most beautiful roses.  I wanted to include a block to represent him and the Tin Man/Oklahoma Boomer block seemed to be a perfect fit.  This block has generated quite a bit of mail from folks wanting to know why I have a "naked man" on the quilt.  I've gotten a huge laugh out of this!  If I hadn't made him pink, maybe he wouldn't look so "naked".  Nevertheless, I will include an alternate 2-color block for those of you who don't want to put a "naked man" on your quilt!" :)  You'll find the alternate block here.

Q.  "Are the blocks made using regular piecing or paper-piecing?"

A.  "Although I'm a big fan of paper-piecing, the blocks in our 2005 BOM quilt will be made using regular piecing."
